Romantic getaway

Romantic getaway

Wow does the Lord know our needs when we need it! I was blessed to join Steve in Cape Cod this past weekend. He is there on his Stan visit and used his sky miles to bring me up. Nichole and her unselfish, loving self, kept my kids and hers all by herself. The hardest part was 3 of the kids were sick and on antibiotics! She was amazing and we are very greatful to her. Steve and I had a great time. He was a perfect gentleman and he spoiled me. It was so nice to be alone and remember why we said "I DO". Here are some picts from the trip. We obviously had to take all the pictures ourselves. We thank you Lord for allowing this time to be together and to see more of your beautiful world!

Oak Mountain State Park

We went camping last week up near Birmingham,Al. We had a great time. The kids are a great age to do things like camping. Even Emma was great. She is so cute, everytime we would come back to the camper she would say "we home". Wherever her "gankie" is she is content. Everything was so gorgeous. Everytime I would look at the lake, the mountains, and the beautiful foliage I was so amazed over Gods creation. It reminds me of the verse in Revelation 4:11 "Thou art worthy,O Lord,to receive glory and honour and power:for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Thank you Father, for all you allow us to enjoy!

The Big 13

The BIG 13!

Wow! My first born son is officially a teenager now. Jakob is too big now for spiderman and scooby doo, so he decided he wanted a paintball party. Why not? your only 13 once right? 10 boys and their dads too. Jake said they were still talking about it at church today, so I think they had a blast (literally). Nichole and I decided to put on the gear and sneak up on Scotty and Steve and we both ended up getting shot in the leg. MAN that hurts! We have nice round paintball marks on our legs! All and all it was a fun time. Richard (Jakes grandpa) was here for the weekend and gave him the Wii fit game. Thats pretty neat if you havn't played it yet. His other grandparents gave him a pretty hefty Best Buy gift card and now he can't decide if he wants a video camera or a Nintendo DS. Decisions decisions. We thank the Lord for blessing us with family and friends!
Okay, I am FINALLY creating a blog, with the help of my now 13 yr.old son! I am hoping that since I hardly ever share with my friends and family what is going on in our lives that this will be a way for the people I love to see into our very busy, fun-loving family life. Hopefully we dont bore you too much! Bare with me, because I have no idea what I am doing.
